EtherDetect Packet Sniffer is a packet sniffer and network protocol analyzer. Using this utility, you will be able to capture all the traffic on your network. You will view connections, packets and data in real time. EtherDetect Packet Sniffer will show you all the information it gathers in a framed interface. It will show you the Start Time, Client and Server IP, Protocol, Number of Packets and Ending Time for each connection in the first frame. If you want to get more detailed information about a given connection, clicking on it will display in the second frame the Time Offset, Pack and Data Length and data for each package.
You can get even more information about any given pack. Clicking on a pack will display its specific information in the two lower frames. You will be able to see details about the Ethernet Header, IP Header, UDP Header, ASCII and hexadecimal data for each packet.
Some antivirus programs, like NOD32 Antivirus, detect this application as a threat. That´s normal with most packet sniffers. As always, proceed at your own risk. |
